One thing tribe interfaces are good for besides filtering is logging in and staying logged in with the specific alt without switching between accounts, for those who have alts for each tribe (I generally don't).
But that is, like filtering, a detail, and it's important tribes do come up with their own identity, user experience, features and benefits. Well pointed out in your post!
I have alts for CCC, PAL, and LEO and I do use them for this. It's a little time saver.
