We actually need a steemit plugin showing notification, recent post, quick feed.etc
100% agree. I would push more for app and plugins for steem than fb. Fb seems to be doing pretty fine. Between security concerns of fb and their data mining/collection for "advertising" purposes when you are left logged in, these efforts could be better utilized.
