Simple Calendar
Simple calendar is a scheduling tool which can be used on android devices. It allows users to easily save and create reminders for appointments and events (birthdays, anniversaries and so on). Also, the application helps in keeping a good track of all the activities an individual has to do in a day.
By just setting a reminder with time and date, event management is settled. It could be used as a mobile secretary.
Proposal
I will like to propose that a Time zone feature should be included in the application.
Every country has different time zones, I noticed that when a user wants to set a reminder, the application only provides date and time option. The time option shows an analog clock (See image 1 below) and the user just fixes the time.
But the question is, what if the appointment is not from the country the user is in?
Users will not be able to fix reminders for appointments and event from different time zones. The user will have to go through the stress of counting and calculating time whereas the application should be able to do that because a calendar meant to be a scheduling tool.

When the Time zone option is selected, a pop-up menu appears and users can type in the name of the country as shown in the image below.

When the time zone option is selected as shown in the image above and the country name is imputed . A drop down list of countries appear so user can type in and search for the time zone of the country they want.
For example,
Nigeria (West Africa Standard Time, 11: 32 GMT + 1),
United Kingdom (Greenwich Mean Time, 10:32 GMT +0)
Egypt (Eastern European Standard Time, 12: 32 PM GMT +2)
and the list goes on.
Benefits
The importance of this feature cannot be overemphasized. It will be the application more credibility in the aspect of creating reminders for appointments in and outside the country.
Business men will be able to keep track of their appointments, calls from within and other countries. It will be a beneficial feature for all ages, be it for setting reminder for tv shows aired outside the users country.
Without a doubt, the feature will also give the application an improved look.
