Chapter I
Introduction
Many Senior High school students come late to school and as a result; academicsubjects will be affected as well as the grades, and they will be able to miss classes asit affects their class performance that is why every Senior High school student shouldeliminate the cause regarding tardiness.
A tardy student presents a lack of responsibility. Being tardy all the time to classis a sign of carelessness and a waste of time. Being on time is not only a duty forstudents, but also a part of good manners, respect and reputation. Hence, studentshould know how to value their time and do their best not to be tardy at all times.Tardiness is not much of an issue for students nowadays; to them it seems to be anormal thing. Nonetheless, some reasons that cause the tardiness among students cantell whether it is being committed or not or being peer pressured.

However, the student attendance policy has been developed as a role of the university’s commitment to provide a supportive learning environment which authorize all students who have selected to study with the university to fulfill their absolute potential. ETC’s (2009) reported that the attendance and punctuality policy clearly states that “regular and punctual attendance is of paramount importance in ensuring that all students have full access to the curriculum. Valuable learning time is lost when students are absent or late”. Therefore, University’s expects students to attend all learning and teaching sessions. Thus, students should come on time for classes. Late arrival students are disruptive and inequitable to other class members. Basically, there are a number of hidden reasons that students arrive to class late, which causes the source of the problem. Nontheless, instructors are responseable to establish appropriate dealing strategies to uproot such behavior.

Santillano (2010) reported that psychological theorists considered some “personality traits, including low self-esteem and anxiety” as triggering factors of lateness. However, some theorists considered lateness as an “inborn quality” since our being early or late is “partially biologically determined”, which she also agreed, other experts also believed that some people are “chronically tardy” for the reason that they consciously and unconsciously get good things from it.
Statement of the Problem
Specifically, it will investigate for the succeeding question.
Why are the Students Late for school?
What is their Issue?
How to avoid being tardiness at school?
What will affect when you fall late into class?
What shall they take action to?
Scope and Delimitation
This study focused the causes and consequences of being late at school of the Senior High Students of Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School year 2017-2018Humss Strand. The study was focused on the Senior High School Students who are not efficiency coming to school on the right time
Significance of the Study
This research will be helpful on the following:
Teachers.The Teachers will find this very useful and efficient for this will give them idea on how to handle their students behaviour and mindset.
Students.The research will provide the Students ideas and knowledge on how to avoid being late on class daily.
Parents.Will find this research as an efficient counter for taking care and managing their Child to be off to school early.

This was a really interesting blog . To see the differencies between there and my place is making me have many questions abt it. i didnt know that this was such an issue there and it causes obvious problems to students.
