Details
eSteem project recently launched eSteem University community gathering educational resource to raise social awareness for Cryptocurrency and Steem via learning the basics of crypto and tips on using eSteem applications.
For that reason there was a need for a simple logo and here is the final approved variant.
Benefits
I've tried to keep the logo simple. Used brand font from eSteem writing University using same Sansation font. Added some element from original eSteem logo (those light blue lines) to make a hint or a feeling it is connected to eSteem Brand.

Colors and Alternatives
Sometimes there could be a case when you need to use the logo in different look. Suppose the layout or composition of your image is forcing you to do so. In such a cases I've developed alternatives.

I started sketching in Adobe Photoshop first. It's easier for me. Here is the shot with first iterations.

I've made few steps explaining how to recreate that logo from scratch. Screenshot will tell everything on it's own but basically you just have to start from square with rounded corners and U letter from eSteem Brand font, combine them together to create pennon-like shape. Then same U with rounded corners could be used as a base for the main sign of logo. Combining it with ribbon and you're done.
Tools
I've used Adobe Photoshop for drawing sketches and Illustrator to finish this task. In Adobe Illustrator I've recreated the final logo in vector and outlined all the texts.

It's an open source community. There is no source code since it's not an application, only graphics are there.

I didn't add design yet… the "interested in" on your profile are in fact the categories other people can click on when searching the directory... I didn't see posts about design in your feed... at least, it is not the majority. So if someone looks for design and click on your profile he/she will see mostly illustrations (art) and not really design...
