[musiQ] New Users Should Be Able to “Sign Up to last.FM” When About to Use the Application

in #utopian-io7 years ago (edited)

Components

musiQ is an open source application that gives the updated information (scrobble) about the music you play such as: about the song, the artiste and the album. It extracts these informations directly from last.fm API. It is lightweight and thus user friendly.

Proposal

On running the app, the landing page requires user to login his last.fm username and password, or asks you to continue without logging in anyway. But it should also ask user to sign up to last.fm so as to use the app effectively.

Mockups / Examples

Here's the app's landing page

I suck at designing, but I think this should give an idea of what I'm suggesting

Benefits

New users will be able to sign up, even if they don't have last.FM account so as to enjoy this wonderful app features. Also it will save the energy of going to sign up to last.FM, thus having a second thought about the app and would uninstall it (which isn't really cool at all).
