What is Emerald?
Emerald is a home screen application developed for Android devices. The application allows customization to the users. It also has an optimized performance and developed in open source.
I draw an octagon on paper to express "Emerald". Then I decided to combine it with the letter E, the first letter of the word. I made many drawings for it. I digitized one of the drawings that I liked most in Adobe Illustrator.

I decided to use green tones in the design.
I painted the icon with green tones and studied it.
The icon that is currently used and the icon I designed are sides by side.
I tried different color versions of the icon.
Below, you can see the old and new version of the app preview located on Google Play.

- “Emerald” and the letter E have been combined.
- Colors that are similar to the colors used in the current icon were preferred.
- The Logotype was created.
- It has become a modern and aesthetic appearance.
