Meet ipharm.ng: an online store for buying drugs.

Using Wordpress and a couple of programming languages too I built a website for a client called ipharm.ng. Its an online store for buying and selling Over-the-Counter(OTC) drugs. You get the drugs delivered to your doorstep minutes after your order. The service is currently for residents of the city of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria only. The aim of the service is to take the services a pharmacy orders out of the pharmacy and straight to the doorsteps of the people. You can either call and make orders or order via the store.

The scenarios below prompted this project:

  1. Mrs. Itoro is a nursing mother living alone in Uyo and her husband works at a bank in Lagos. She has a 6 months old baby and a 2 year old daughter. She wakes up in the morning with a strong fever that completely weakens her and she has no one to help her get to the drug store.

  2. Enoch is a student that lives alone a couple of blocks away from his college. He wants to have sex but is too shy to walk up to the drug store to buy a condom.

  3. Funmi is a 17 year old girl from a very conservative family, a very active sister in church and quite a shy soul. She had unplanned sex with a guy she went to visit and she didn't use a condom. She cannot imagine herself going to the drug store to ask for Postinor 2 for fear of being tamed a whore by the sales man at the drug store who has been making advances at her or being seen by a fellow church member.

When you make an order on ipharm.ng, they bring whatever drugs you order directly to your doorstep and you can pay cash on delivery or via mobile bank transfer.

It took me over two weeks to complete the project. The website will be launched to the public soon.
Kindly leave your thoughts on the project in the comments section. Thanks.
