Project Details:

As a Java Runtime Environment, Node.js gives developers the opportunity of personalizing their experience when using Java coding tasks on an operating system within their computer. This open-source project addressed to developers represents a valuable instrument for designing, testing applications and customize them to their needs. Node.js provides users all the tools they need to make the most of the great number of features JavaScript offers.
This open-source project improves users’ pc greatly though Node.js environment by given them multiple resources for solving problems and optimizing processes within. It also promotes feedback between source and audience, pushing developers to learn alternative routes for completing tasks and ideate enhanced ways to achieve their goals.

Translation Overview:

In this opportunity, I write about the text I am working on, Crypto. This contribution only seeks to give you a hint of what the module is about and how developers can use it at their will in order to profit its advantages at maximum.
Crypto provides a cryptographic functionality that includes a set of wrappers for OpenSSL's hash, HMAC, cipher, decipher, sign, among other functions. It is used to encrypt data by implementing certain certificates such as Cipher and SPKAC. Crypto works through a compilation of Node.js’ data certificates, such as SPKAC, which is the most commonly used at handling output generated by the HTML5. The <0>spkac</0> data structure includes a public key and a challenge, and it is the milestone Node.js uses as the OpenSSL SPKAC implementation to internally support its own operations.
At the same time, *Crypto module profits of the use of Cipher certificate to address to the block encryption algorithms and input data at the appropriate block size. Also, Crypto employs *Decipher instances to decrypt data, both readable and writable, where plain encrypted data is written to produce unencrypted data on the readable side. The DiffieHellman class is a utility for creating Diffie-Hellman key for this module exchanges with others.
So far, the documentation of this module has not been so easy to translate, it has being a challenge. Concepts must be clear since it is simple to confuse the encryption processes among them. As it is expressed by Christoph Hartmann in his article Encrypt and decrypt content with Nodejs, “Nodejs offers great support for cryptography. Under the hood it uses openssl and ships with a Javascript api. Unfortunately, the api is not always as intuitive as it should be, especially when you have to deal with error codes. The next nodejs version comes with support for GCM to do authenticated encryption. Until then you have to use approaches like Encrypt-then-MAC and combine the encryption with the generation of SHA hashs.” (https://lollyrock.com/articles/nodejs-encryption/)
This last hint of the blogger gives us the next hint to continue the translation. More about this will be posted soon.
As they’re seen in the three texts, the following examples show parts of the nature of the document:

  • Example #1:
    English:
If the <0>output_encoding</0> is specified, a string using the specified encoding is returned.
    Spanish:
Si el <0>outputEncoding</0> es especificado, se devuelve una string que usa la codificación especificada.

  • Example #2:

  • English:
Instances of the <0>DiffieHellman</0> class can be created using the [<0>crypto.createDiffieHellman()</0>][] function.

  • Spanish:
Las instancias de la clase <0>DiffieHellman</0> pude ser creada usando la función [<0>rypto.createDiffieHellman()</0>][].

  • Example #3:

  • English:
SPKAC is a Certificate Signing Request mechanism originally implemented by Netscape and now specified formally as part of [HTML5's <0>keygen</0> element][].

  • Spanish:
SPKAC es un mecanismo de Solicitud de Firma de Certificado implementado originalmente por Netscape y, en la actualidad, especificado formalmente como parte de [HTML5's <0>keygen</0> element][].
