Retroshare is a platform where people can connect each other and make a network.It is called "a secure decentralized communication platform".
Proposal
The platform almost has everything a user needs but there can still be great improvements made.When a user goes to "network" section and setup their network configuration there is a download and upload limit.Some users may not know what is their upload and download speed is and they might change it to the lower than their regular speed,there can be a button for "test my upload&download speed" that will help users to see their network speed.
Only Allow Specific Websites To Ask Ip
There are few websites which if user allows Retroshare asks users ip.If user doesn't want Retroshare to ask their ip to one specific ip or user may want Retroshare to ask only one website their ip."Allow Retroshare to ask my ip to these websites" feature in the app can be customized.It's now only allows all of the websites or none of them to use.It can be changed and customized with adding checkboxs next to websites to make user choose.
Iconic Logos To Create New Channel
When users wants to create a new channel and they want to make a icon for that channel,they have to create their own.My suggestion on it is,Retroshare should add few icons to there and people will be able to create their own or choose Retroshare's iconic logos.This will help users more in their journey to create channel.

Adding download speed test will help beginner users to have idea about what their download&upload speed is and that will help them to setup their limits.Allowing specific websites to show ip that user choose will make most of the users comfortable and safe.When a user creates a channel and they don't have what icon they want to choose,there should be few ready icons for them to choose and it will help them to start their channel.

The addition of a network speed test will improve the application. However, your explanation was not correct. Choosing a lower upload and download speed will only limit the rate at which their device sends and receive data.
Your channel ready made icons can also be considered trivial, because their is a default icon there in form of a TV and it is expected that users would have their own icon to use for the channel. It is either the default or user uploaded icon.
You are advised to fully understand how an application works before making contributions so as to score higher.
