ChainBB is the forum-based interface of the steem blochchain. While going through the website for the purposes of research to discover what I can do with it, I would say @aaroncox (the creator) did a pretty good job because the site is much more than just a forum. I hope to show you all what it is all about in this detailed but simple guide.
For the purposes of Clarity, I'll divide this discussion into 2 major headings:
- Before Signin
- After Signin
Let's begin...
BEFORE SIGNIN
Visit https://chainbb.com. It redirects you to ChainBB forums as shown below:
We will explain the numbered sections as follows.
1- WEBSITE LINK:
- This is pretty self-explanatory. Its just the link showing on you browser. In this case I used Chrome browser.
2, 3- CHAINBB LOGO; FORUM HOME:
- Clicking this icon also brings you the same place as 1 & 3
4- START YOUR OWN FORUM:
- That's where you activate the major purpose for this site which is to create and use forum style to access your steem blockchain
- Below is the images of what you will see when you click this button before signin
- Please endeavour to read them carefully if you are serious about creating your own forums.
- BENEFITS include; free hosting, moderation abilities and beneficiary reward % cut as an owner.
- IT COSTS 10 STEEM to start a forum.
5- ALL FORUMS HEADER
- It just shows you that below it are all the forums on the ChainBB website in a single page.
- All forums are organized in alphabetical order from top to bottom of page.
- No. 9 shows the columns used for Forum scanning

6- SIGNIN BUTTON
- This is the button that leads you to the interface where you can enter your username and posting key to access your account.

- Next Step:
- Enter your username and posting key. Then click Signin. Watch it loading;
- With this we swiftly move into the 2nd stage of this tutorial...
AFTER SIGNIN:

1- FEEDS:
- These are forum posts made by your followings
- You can read posts, comment, upvote and re-chain
- When you click the button here is your view:
WE WILL USE 1st and 2nd posts on the list to demonstrate what we can do by clicking the "like" button beside each post

SO THAT'S ESSENTIALLY WHAT WE HAVE ON THE "FEEDS" SECTION.
2- INBOX
- Inbox is another word for "reply" on this platform
- It shows all those who recently commented on your post in a chronological order
3, 4- FORUMS, START COMMUNITY
- These have already been explained previously above
5- RESERVE A FORUM
- You should click this when you are ready to create a forum community
- COSTS is 10 STEEM
- I have already outlined the benefits previously above
SINCE YOU ARE LOGGED IN, you may now click your profile image icon to get to your own account page as shown in image below
Most of the image is self-explanatory but let me give you some little details.
A- FORUM NAVIGATION.
- By clicking any part of the navigation pane, you are migrated to that part immediately
B- POSTS, RESPONSES, REPLIES
- You can see all your posts, replies to other member's posts and replies to yours
C- PROFILE IMAGE
- The image that I used for my account
D, E, F- ACCOUNT INFO AND REDIRECT
- Click on E to open with another interface eg steemit, busy, Utopian etc
- View account info in F
G, H, I-
- Here you find your posts, the respective number of replies and the last reply.
