Renaming Files and Folder from Device Internal storage crashes the app

Expected behavior

I should be able to rename files and folder from the file manager of the device's internal storage.

Actual behavior

But the app crashes on trying to rename a file or folder from device's internal storage

How to reproduce

  1. Install the app from playstore.
  2. Launch the app.
  3. Click on the "External Stoage 1" option and select root device's internal storage pathway.
  4. Select any folder or file from your device internal storage and rename it.

    The app crashes.
  • App Version: 1.0.2
  • Device: Samsung Galaxy J5
  • Operating System: Android 6.0.1

Hi @neupanedipen, thanks for carefully observing and reporting this error. Sadly this error is similar to an already documented issue. The affected application has write permission issues. Apparently, the issues experienced are write access related, while it allows for reading available files and folders, writing or modifying is not allowed. And this opened issue, encompasses all that.
