[Suggestion]Steem bot tracker - Buildawhale should be removed from bid bots list in steembottracker.com

Components

This change I wanted to be is in the bid bots section of the steembottracker.

Perviously buildawhale is a bid bots so he put buildawhale in the bid bots section. But actually buildawhale should be in the other bot section like randowhale.

Bid-based voting bots work on a bidding system. You can send any amount of SBD above the minimum (minimums vary for each bot) and once the bot account reaches 100% voting power it splits a 100% upvote between all of the bids based on each bid's % of the total amount bid during that period.

It takes 2.4 hours for voting power to return to 100% after a 100% upvote so each bidding period typically lasts roughly 2.4 hours. Recently some bots have switched to giving out a 50% upvote every 1.2 hours instead. You can see this indicated next to the "Vote Value" in the table below.

Take the following example: With a 2.4 hour bidding period user A sends $1 to a voting bot and user B sends $3. The total bid is $4 so that means that user A will get a 25% upvote on their post and user B will get a 75% upvote. If the bot's 100% upvote is worth more than $4 then both user A and B will receive an upvote worth more than they have spent.

Please note that vote values are based on the current value of STEEM. As STEEM prices rise or fall the value of votes will too. Additionally 25% of the value of votes cast more than 30 minutes after a post has been made go to the curation rewards, so for a $0.75 payment you would need at least a $1.00 upvote to be profitable if you are taking curation rewards into account.

Each voting bot has their own quirks and rules and those can change at any time. I do the best I can to keep this site up to date however it is your responsibility to check each voting bot before you use it. You can click on the links in the table below to go to the SteemIt profile page for each bot.

I will explain why I think he is not a bid bot.

buildawhale upvote.PNG
buildawhale upvote is not 100% in total

The total upvote percent is not 100% so he is violating the bid bot rule.

send sbd 1.PNG

send sbd 2.PNG

If you check buildawhale upvote is not 100% in total and the above two pictures, He is upvoting 3.8% for 5 SBD. 22.81% for 30 SBD and 5.32% for 7 SBD. His 3.8% worth around 7.34 STU. So Everyone who uses buidawhale is a loser.

He is giving a fixed return instead of giving a propotioanal upvote. This is violating bid bot manner as I mention above.

He also change the time frame. This is viloating bid bot rule.
So buildawhale should be removed from bid bot list.

Did he cheat everyone.
I did not see the post he mention that buildawhale is changing upvote rule. May be I make a mistake.

To @Yabapmatt Did he aknowledge about his code change. Please tell me.

Proposal

Please remove buildawhale from Buildbot list and put him in other bot list. If he make a mistake give some compensation for the streemians who use his service. He should respect other streemians. If it is not his mistake, do nothing. May be he won't give any compensation even if he make a mistake. So forget about the compensation and apology. Please find out about the other bots. Are they doing the same. I will also report what I notice.

Mockups / Examples

No example.

Benefits

It will gain trust from streemians. @Yabapmatt should solve the problem as fast as possible. Showing non bid bot in the bid bot section make confusing a lots of people including me. I will not use his service if he is a bot that return a fixed value and that fixed value make us a loser.

@buildawhale now has a 10% capped ROI, anything past that gets saved for next round. The rounds can be quicker if the round gets capped.

Other bots like @jerrybandfield, smart steem, and a few others implemented a cap and it was being announced today. I suspect this is going to become the norm for a lot of bots.

If you look in the details page you can see the rounds are capped at a fixed 10%.

Thanks for your reply. It is clear about your norm. Sorry for my post. I don't know about this before I wrote this post. Could you drop me link for the announcement.

@ptcmynamar Very well pointed out Infact i had experienced similar issues.

Yes. People are afraid to talk about a whale.

There are a lot of issues with the bot tracker, it is far from perfect. But buildawhale is and has always been a "bid bot." The data you are sampling is incorrect. I do not have time right now to analyse your results but when I can I will. There are other factors at play too that you are not considering.

He is giving a fixed return instead of giving a propotioanal upvote. This is violating bid bot manner as I mention above.

He is not giving a fixed return as if you watch all windows buildawhale is often in the positive. If it was fixed it wouldn't wait until 100% and rather would bid as votes came in.

He also change the time frame. This is violating bid bot rule.
So buildawhale should be removed from bid bot list.

The time frame hasnt changed rofl, there are a few reasons it can get extended and its not always exactly the same. And what rules do you speak of? An unwritten code of some sort? I know the owner of Buildawhale pretty well and I see no reason to think that he is doing anything that could be considered violating any of such rules you speak of. B/c of what he does with spam you can bet that you are more likely to make ROI from buildawhale over ANY other bot.

Consider to critique the other bots and you will see the difference and benefit of using @buildawhale over anything else.

Nice disscussion. I will discuss you with more details. I think there is something wrong in his code. After discussion I will edit my post using more gentle and polite words.

Im with you..after reading your post i know that was something wrong, my friends and i have tried buying upvote from the bot, no one get satisfaction then..all cries

They will change their norm. Take a look at marky's comment. We are giving 3x return currently.
