Homebank-Managing Income & Expenses
Homebank is personal accounting software and easiest way to manage personal Income and Expenses. Individual can record all the personal monetary related transaction on Homebank. It is designed to easy to use and be able to analyse your personal finance and budget in detail using powerful filtering tools and beautiful charts and Graphs.
The personal accounting software package that runs on OpenBSD, Linux, FreeBSD, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS (via macports or homebrew) and AmigaOS. Released under the GNU General Public License, HomeBank is free software.

To Download the software, please Click on the Download option as apearing on the software home page,
The next page will show you the latest version available and system configuration required for the installation
Once we have the Software downloaded into your system double click on the .exe file for software setup.
The setup and installation process is same as we found in other set up: (not explaining)
Run>License Acceptance>System check>Finish
**Homebank - Usage **
Once the set up has been completed, the Homebank software is ready to be used for managing personal income and expenses. Once you double click on the desktop icon the Software windows by default open like this:
Using the software and setting the preference are explained in detailed in following steps:
Step 1 : The opening of the software give you option to set up user preference. The user preference the name of the user and the currency to use.
Step 2: Then followed with the preset set up
Step 3: Creating the pesonal bank reference, through which we do all the transaction.
**Step 4 : **Finally the confirmation for starting the use of the software for recording Income and Expenses.
Step 5 : After setting up all the preference as per the need, we are ready to use to software for our personal accounting. The windows looks like this one. T
The top rows shows you all the menu option which I have named at the bottom box.
The Bank balance that we have created in the preference, is appearing on the main window.
Step 6 : Now we are all set up to record all the transaction i.e all the income as well as expenses. For recording click on the open box (on the right). A new window pops up:
Click on the "ADD" button on the bottom left corner to add the income and expense transaction, which ultimately opens you with another window.
Step 7:The Add transaction window as shown above contains each and every details of the income or spends that individual doing. The different fields and its pop up are shown in below images.
All the fields are mandatory to record the nature of Income/Expenses. After choosing all the option click on Add to create the transaction for the record.
Step 8: On adding the amounts of income and expenses, our summary Cashbook/Passbook will appear as below on the main window. Refer below image, where the amounts and nature that have selected in the add transaction are appearing.
This is the main way to record all our spends and income on daily basis.
Step 9 : The transaction that we have recorded are very convenient to share and also to present in Graphical and excel format.
From Edit option of the menu bar, we need choose the Prefernce to get all the reporting and presentation option.
Advantages
The software is very useful in maintaining daily transaction on single entry system. It is useful for the individual as well the sole proprietor business.
All the daily transaction and household expenses can be maintained thorough this software.
