We've enhanced the Boost Button to get information directly from MinnowBooster without having to leave the page.
Steemplus is a browser extension that adds plenty of features to your Steemit (mostly) , Busy and Utopian experience. You can find the list of features in the latest big release. Installation procedure can be found at the end of that post.
New Features
The Boost button was originally developped for Steemit More Info by @armandocat and was later on incorporated to SteemPlus.
It allows users to promote their posts or the ones they like using @minnowbooster's service.
However, since Steemit More Info was not maintained, the vote distribution has evolved on Minnowbooster side; as you can see on their website, each vote value has now a dynamic and limited supply.
To make it more compact, we've only kept the non-zero values and used logarithmic scales. The data is obtained through an API kindly provided by @reggaemuffin.
The maximum vote is then calculated with the following formula :
min((max_daily-current_daily),max_available) and is displayed further down, as well as the expected value of the upvote.
