Although account feature is very common in similar applications but it is really necessary here.
Another solution to keep this application private is adding a security lock but account feature which will ask you to login every time you open the application will be better IMO.
Another benefit of the account feature will allow other users to be able to use the application.
This doesn't make any sense to me.
