Components
That is the current user-interface displayed on steemit pages like the trending page, the new ones, on certain steemit-tags pages and on your very own feed or profile. The interface shows part of information on top, middle and bottom section of the steemit posts.
On the top part you'll see:
- the authors username or name
- the reputation score
- the main tag after the reputation score
- and the hour when it was posted
On the middle part you'll see:
- the thumbnail used or the picture present in the post
- the title of the post
- and the first sentences/words of the post
On the bottom part you'll see:
- the upvote button
- the potential reward
- the number of upvotes and comments respectively after the potential reward
- and the resteem button on the right most section that is visible to the audience
Proposal
Above components are important information and there's no need for any modification or any editing. But I want to see an additional active button located on the section below or at the bottom of the steemit post. This new active component is the "Edit" component or button will be put beside the resteem button or right after to it. The active component will be in a string format, can be visible and clickable by the author alone.
Mockups / Examples
The new active component will be beside the resteem button and is visible to the author of the post alone.
Upon clicking the active button, editing box will appear below the post just like when you are posting something or editing your post on a regular session.
Benefits
Adding additional active component on steemit-post will produce the following benefits to the users:
- Steemit users/authors can now edit directly without going into the post and scan the entire post for editing.
- A very easy way to edit a certain post with errors in posting and typos in title, thumbnails and 1st two to three sentences of the post.

You also mentioned thatUpon clicking the active button, editing box will appear below the post just like when you are posting something or editing your post on a regular session.which is typically same function with the current edit-button. just 1-2 sec click away can lead you to the edit page.You can contact us on Discord.

this could be of great use and benefit to the steemit community, I like your creative suggestion of this particular addition. I know I, personally, would not mind seeing this new and improved 'edit' feature
