Hi great steemians, it's a warm afternoon here in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I am inspired to write about a major issue threatening this wonderful community; I just want to address whoever is reading this, STEEMIT IS OURS; Did I just say "ours"? Yeah, I sure did.
I have noticed that the minnows are not enjoying their stay here on steemit and hence are being inconsistent and some even abandoned their accounts because after composing a wonderful and time consuming post they get little or no votes.
Although we should not be on STEEMIT just for the money but one of our motive of registering on this website is because this community (STEEMIT) has promised to reward us with tokens by allowing our readers to upvote our post. So while we preach the idea of not too being money conscious, remember there's a reason you pay more attention to STEEMIT than your Instagram/Facebook accounts.
DEAR WHALES
Let us all not forget that we are the ones with large volumes/quantity of SP (Steem Power).
IF you only upvote posts based on your relationship with the author, then this community is gradually getting corrupted and then will crumble in no distant time.
Some Whales go to the extent of upvoting all their posts & comments.
WHAT I THINK
We should all remember that the users of STEEMIT worldwide as at Jan. 15th 2018 is not up to 800,000 users.
I believe this reminds us that we need more users in the community; for the past two weeks the value of SBD has been fluctuating between $2.5-$4.0 just because BTC is down.
There's a huge margin between 1SBD and 1BTC but any little change (rise or fall) affects SBD._
I hope we all know that SBD as a new crypto- having more users (dealers) will inflate the price and it will to our own advantage.
