“PITSENYOR!” and “ PRITITIT!”, you can all hear these kinds of words all over Cebu City. The most awaited event in the month of January to all Cebuanos. Even I was really excited!
The Sinulog-Santo Niño Festival, an annual cultural and religious festival held on the third Sunday of January (January 21, 2018) in Cebu City, and is the centre of the Santo Niño Catholic celebrations in the Philippines.
My Sinulog 2018 was very memorable together with my best friends.
By the time we arrived at Cebu City, we headed to Sto. Nino Church to attend the mass, upon arriving we saw hundreds of devotees to the blessed Sto. Nino waving their hands while singing “Bato Balani sa Gugma” which means “ Magnet of Love”. Upon seeing I had goose bumps all over.
After attending the mass, we then looked for a place to have our lunch, we noticed that fast food chains and restaurant are full so we decided to just eat street foods. I had friend chicken, 2 puso (hanging rice), and softdrink. Full and affordable.
Note: Do not try to eat these kind of food if you have a weak tummy, in my case I had LBM the day after.
Sadsad begins,
“Sadsad” is a term used by Cebuanos where they stroll, roam, wander or explore things in the street.
Upon roaming the street, we saw different kind of floats, colorful masks, celebrities and unique gimmicks.
Cebuanos are really friendly especially these kinds of events. Paint wars all over! N0n-stop walks, mixed odors, crowd full of smiles, thirst and hunger.
Lastly, highlight of our night, watching fireworks!
After all, this is the real essence of Sinulog.

We celebrate the Sto. Nino Festival in Tondo but I would love to try it in Cebu someday! It's arguably more colorful and grande in Cebu honestly.
