Lately, the quest for a more advanced open source project here on the steem blockchain is massive, as people have come together from different backgrounds to complete the crowdfunding of Utopian Indiegogo campaign which has 14 more days.
It should interest you to know that the open-source model can be seen as a decentralized model that welcomes and attracts open collaboration which literally means "Reliance on goal-oriented productions or innovations whereby different participants from far and near will come together to a product that's of economic value, which will be made available to both contributors and noncontributors alike.
In an open-source project that's infused with numerous features and principles, one of the principles of open-source software is known as peer production. This means that products such as documentation, source codes and many more are made freely available to the public.

Considering the feat they've achieved, rewarding thousands of contributions and all. Utopian Colony is still under development as they are trying and making attempts to better the project which will be launched in 2019 Q3 as stated in the project website. There's a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo and the campaign will be over in less than 16 days and they are calling on everyone to join hands to make this campaign a success, even for the open-source community.
