The location of Baška has provided the place of continuous development and prosperity, and today's recognizably in the tourist environment, and Baška is one of the most desirable tourist destinations of the Croatian Adriatic.
Located in a valley , surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, mountain pastures, with a picturesque backdrop of the karts mountain of Velebit and Prvic island, which like to protect from all sides a unique 1800m long pebble beach, which is rightly said to be one of the most beautiful on the Adriatic.

Today Baška count 1.674 residence, and in the summer, as many as 10,000 visitors per day in numerous apartments, holiday houses and hotels in Baška. Baška splits the burning history of the island of Krk, and a significant part of Baška history is certainly a rich tourist tradition. Thus the beginnings of tourism go back to 1904 when Baška was discovered by Czech tourists who, like her present visitors, were delighted with the beauty of the landscape, the beach and the purity of the sea.

One of the biggest Croatian national historical tresure is Baška plateau.

The Baška plateau is a national monument to the culture of the Croatian people. It is a Glagolitic inscription, a document carved in 13 rows of text that tells about the gifts of Crown King Zvonimir (1075-1089) to the church of Sv. Lucius in Jurandvor, where the Baška plateau was found and inserted into the church pavement.
The plate was found in 1851, thanks to the Bishop cleric Petar Dorcic.
The text of Baška ploča as interpreted by Vjekoslav Štefanić reads:

  1. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. The deceased Abbey wrote this about the ice given by Zvonimir, king of Croatia, in his days to St. Lucia. Witness Desimir Krbava, a Latter-day Slayer in Lika, Pribina, a member of Vinodol and Jakov on the island, testify to me. And whoever condemns it, let God and the 12 apostles and 4 evangelists and St. Lucia Amen blow it. And whoever lives here, pray for them God. The abbot Dobrovit summoned this church with its 9th brothers at the time of Duke Kuzme, who ruled by his side. And that was at the time of Mikul in Otočac with St. Lucia together.

Baška is beautiful tourist Place with great gastronomy. There are numbers of restaurants, taverns that offer traditional Baška and Mediterranean most related food specialties.
