Valencia - Yamaha Movistar rider Valentino Rossi complained about the performance of the YZR-M1 motorcycle he used in 2017 MotoGP. Rossi claims he failed to compete in the hunt for the MotoGP world title can not be separated from the poor rate of YZR-M1.
Rossi's disappointment peaked after failing to reach pole position in MotoGP Valencia 2017. In the qualifying session held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Saturday (11/12/2017), Rossi only reach the seventh position.
The Doctor recorded a time of 1 minute 30.848 seconds. He trailed 0.951 seconds from Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez, who will start the race from pole position.
"Maybe I'm not too frustrated with the position in this qualifying session because I know this is going to happen in the first place, and in the end, with this bike I have never felt comfortable since the first test," Rossi said as quoted by Crash on Sunday / 11/2017).
"I'm in a lot of trouble, when I ride this bike, I do not have enough confidence to push motor skills up to 100 percent," said the rider who is identical to the number 46.
Rossi hopes Yamaha technicians will soon find a solution for the bike that will be used next season. Thus, Rossi can put all his focus on the race for victory.
"It's important to be understood very quickly in order to try other ways in the motor next season I have a lot of discussions with Japanese technicians and I hope we can get better next season," he said.
Valentino Rossi currently inhabit the fourth position of the 2017 MotoGP standings. With one draw remaining, Rossi will not be able to close the season in the top three because now 29 points adrift of teammate Maverick Vinales.
