Valorant has been compared to Valve's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, with both games having two teams of five attempting to plant a bomb and Blizzard's class-based shooter Overwatch. We can see why people think that but i think it is more comparable to CSGO because these two games are very similar.

Even though there core concept are same but gameplay is very different and there are numerous thinks that are unique about these games in there own way.
The competition between these two games have been very fruitful more both games player-base.Because both games are now receiving constant updates and optimization.These two games are also taking new and good features from the other game and implementing it in there own game.
Even though Valorant pro scene is not as big and diverse as CSGOs right now but it is growing and will take some time as it is a new game.It will be fun to watch these two game compete and evolve together and usher a new era of E-sports(/competitive gaming).
