Getting back into the vape game

in #vaping8 years ago (edited)

WOW. I have been smoke free for almost 3 years. Quite impressed with myself. And thanks to vaping it is not at all bad in any way. It was a learning curve but mostly fun.

Starting up something new can be daunting and especially when it involves several critical factors like:

  • To get the right equipment
  • To learn battery safety and understand electricity
  • To learn mixing vape fluid
  • Find my own preferences

I was through all that about a year and a half ago. I had stocked up on supplies and had more mods and tanks than I could use. So I decided it was enough for a while. Since I have managed to break almost all my mods. Or they just don't function as they used to. The quality of these China produced electronics can be dubious.

Time for something new

But what? I turned to YouTube to catch the latest and greatest. Luckily the same reviewers are still there. I know what they mean, I know their preference and they are for the most part reliable.

The critical part is I have broken my mods. They can take a beating, but they can't take the heavy abuse I put them through forever. Currently I have one that reads my resistance correct and in one piece. The rest MIGHT work but not reliably.

Choosing a mod defines who you are in vaping. I like those with two 18650 batteries and enough electronics to protect me from blowing my hands off. And I prefere to use temp control mode. It gives enough battery life to be out and about and I can bring spare cells with me if needed.

New mod no. 1 Voopoo drag

Well. It's not exactly new. It was new last year. A company that just popped out of nowhere and got critics drooling over their offerings.

What sold me was the aesthetics and the highly acclaimed chip inside.

New mod no. 2 Smok x-priv

Now this is a brand new device. And from a company I know well. I was unfortunate to drop the last mod I had from them and it started to read the resistance way to high. This one sports a gigantic oled display. I doubt it makes the vape better, but it's the way things move in this game.

Getting the wares

I order vape gear from china. It's the cheapest and I don't expect super quality. They are cheap anyway, so I'm not too concerned. I just hope they get here before I destroy my last beater.

The hardest part about vaping is just to calculate when to get something new. You can't exactly calculate when these things start to break apart. It was time for something new now, I just hope the postman does his thing.

Sort:

I just bought my first. Real Nice.

Bought some pineapple juice and redbull w 18/12mg nicotine

The one tastes like shit. The melon one.

But i have not have the urge for cigarettes after it.

18 mg would give me a headache nowadays. Be prepared to lower it as you get more experience. I'm fine with 2 mg.

Down on 12 now. 18 was til much.

But i can't puff too many times after each other without the coil almost boiling.

Maybe my vaper isent good enough??

Im New to this ro i really dont know anything to be honest. But i like it.

It's quite common. You puff too hard too frequently and flood the coil. It is a number of ways to deal with it that involves the type of wicking, the viscosity of liquid, the power used and believe it or not how it is inhaled.

It gets easier with experience. Take notes what viscosity works with certain coils. And you might benefit from a totally different setup.

I build my own and mix to my liking for the hardware I use at the moment. Lately I have been lazy and use a old fashioned hurricane with a thin liquid.

Okay. What sites is best to order from in Asia? And what kind of mixes do you make ? % vg etc...

Sites I have dealt with without too much trouble:

Gearbest.com
Cigabuy.com
Efun.top
Fasttech.com

Viscosities between 50-70% VG is my normal range.

Melon is my least favourite too!

Pineapple I do like, and I'm on 6mg - 18 makes me dizzy!

Found at vaporasso swag ør revenger could be my Dream machine

I've been rocking the TFV8 from smok and the Jaybo Realeux 2/3 for over 2 years. I work construction and this setup is tough as nails.

So you make your own juice too?

Yes, I do. I wasn't sure how the European regulations would be, so I bought some litres of nicotine and started mixing my own. It comes naturally since I rolled my own for 25 years.

I have the first releaux and have always had problems with it. I think it still works, but the connection is bad with some tanks. And I'm not very happy with the board. But I think I would get it to work with some tinkering.

I had a wire break once and just soldered it back together but it been a Savage ever since.

Do you like fruit flavors?
Strawberry ripe
Vanilla custard v2
And dragon fruit.
That’s my go to and super easy, shake and vape basically.

Tastes are so subjective, it's a impossible topic. Try to challenge myself and when using concentrates, I tend to go by specific concentrate reviews than what I was actually looking for. There is so much to this, I could write a book.

I couldn’t agree more. Everyone has their own distinct favorites. I don’t know how many different strawberry concentrates I went through to find the one that I like.

Nice work on quitting the smoke!

I have an Attitude Vaporesso and it does the job for me :D

Nice, man! Never tried their stuff.

good vote back

really very good,your work ,thanks.
