Vegan raw food smoothies instead of chemo-therapy?

in #vegan6 years ago

Fruit gives energy but is not a therapy.
The idea of avoiding chemo-therapy through the generous consumption of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices is as hopeful as it is risky. Although studies suggest that a vegan diet can give the body plenty of power and energy, one should rely on the specialist advice of doctors who have specialized in their field for many years in the diagnosis of cancer. Friends and acquaintances should support people with cancer by their proximity, but not by the recommendation of "healing methods", which are not scientifically justified.

A vegan diet can support the health and - after consultation with the attending physicians - depending on the form of the disease certainly also good therapy-accompanying be performed. Without scientific principles, however, veganism should not be recommended as a "cure" for cancer. Already today therapies are examined, which also include a plant-based diet. However, their effectiveness must first be proven before a scientifically sound recommendation can be made that can trust people with cancer.
