wow, seems good. My father grows some in our garden...we can eat a couple of home grown vegetables...

Your dad is a clever man :)

He was always a hard worker. Don't think so he is clever.

That's a delicious looking harvest! Our gardens here have been slow going since we initially waited a long while for seeds.

I planted papaya seeds in a container and have a bunch of baby trees now. I then planted 3 outside and so far 2 of them have been eaten, probably by ants. I now plan to move them into individual containers so that they can grow up a bit before trying again outside.

The jungle is a different environment so we are learning as we go... Part of my plan is to plant dozens (or maybe hundreds) of trees so that there is enough abundance for all.

Keep planting and harvesting brother!

Sounds like the perfect plan. Can only imagine how fast things get eaten up if they are not well developed. Appreciate the picture. Amazing to think they are papaya. I remember harvesting them outside our home in Bali with a big long stick ;)

Every great food forest begins with a single seed.

Our future forest is still expanding and very much still in pots!

Indeed. A local woman who works here has 15 avocado trees. She brought us many fruits and I just planted those seeds yesterday in containers. I'm envisioning dozens (hundreds?) of each fruit bearing tree. Then there will be plenty for us and the local animals!
