Minor religions in Venezuela

in #venezuela6 years ago

Now finishing this series of mini articles I want to talk about the real minorities in venezuelan religions, but I ain't going to talk about every single religion in the venezuelan territory, first we are going with:

Yoruba religion (Santería)

As we should know, africans came as slaves in the colony times and they brought everything, including their religions and because of the presence of catholicism the yoruba's belief mixed with it and the result was: santería. Venezuelan is one of the countries in Venezuela with major presence of this religion (The major one being Cuba), it represents 1% of Venezuela's religion and it's been a phenomenom due to people's mixing these beliefs with christianity and making or corrupting each one without even knowing it.

Santerism is considered by christians a call from the devil because of thd bad things they want to happen to others via their rituals.

Judaism

Origins come even before the christianity, the religion of Moses has a strong presence in Venezuela makinh up to a little bit les than 1% of the spectrum. Caracas, the capital, is the most influeced place in Venezuela by judaism; with the "Hebraica" complex and the Sinagogue being one of the tallest buildings in one specific time in the history of Caracas, judaism became a religion that has a peaceful convivence with others.

Judes often are related to money and industries, making the classic stereotype that comes so far as the middle age.

Muslims

Making up to less than 1% of the spectrum, the Caracas's Mosque was once the tallest building in the entire city. Muslims arrived when the I World War took place and since then they've built big part of the economy in Venezuela opening lots of kinds of businesses.
