The choroni beach is located 40 minutes from Maracay this is a parish of the Girardot municipality, in the village of the same name with an estimated population of 5,000 inhabitants. its economy is based mainly on agriculture, fishing and tourism, it crosses the park Henri Pittier this is part of the mountain range of the coast. It is very attractive, either from the view of the beautiful cloud forests, or the village itself. this community was founded in 1616 and has a beautiful colonial architecture.
In the village the saint "Saint John the Baptist" is venerated. A great party is organized every June 24 of each year, with a great sound of drums, a tradition that was brought by the African slaves in the time of the colonization of the country, the feast of the patron saint brings with it a large number of domestic and foreign tourists increasing the economy positively.
In Choroni are one of the attractive beaches for paradisiacs of the country, predominating among them, this large beach has almost a kilometer long with a wide cocotales that gives shade to this ample place, and as if the beauty was not little is found bathed by the Caribbean sea, with crystal clear waters that bathe the entire beach. the forest of the National Park Herri Pittier with great mountains that fall directly to the sea. The climate varies from 29 to 31 degree centigrade in the day.
