Crazy in all the right ways I would say...
We live in a world where the guy who sells his blood to feed the less fortunate (human or animal is not relevant.) is likely to live by pretty modest means (was that a polite way of putting it???)
And the guy who gets a 10 million kickback from Wall street to fund a venture with money he made screwing over some third world country probably has all he needs to become a world leader.
The way you have started your journey with a focus on @steembasicincome kind of lets us know what we need to know about you! The focus on the guiding purpose behind the project is stunning!
I'm sure people will kick my ass for not using this comment to tell you to look after your own needs first...But I think I have a pretty decent grasp on who you are as a man, from a time when I read over your earliest posts here. In some ways, despite our different locale, way of life etc in some ways I regard you as a kindred spirit. Be they human or animal...I gotta say I would expect nothing less from you my friend!
If either of us dropped dead tomorrow, our last thought would not be regret from never getting to buy that gold Rolex or that $15000 Armani suit...Some are born that way and some most certainly are not.
I cannot speak for you Sir, but I was only given one ticket for life...As far as I understand, I do not get to have one more spin round the track to "do it properly this time!"
Life is to be lived according to a set of core beliefs, principles and morals and NO I most definitely do not mean those ones that are spoon fed to us by media, government and religious institutions. I mean those ones that burn inside when we do something out of line with who we are and what we know to be right or wrong. Those ones that give us a satisfying "pat on the back for being a good guy" type of feeling.
Keep doing what you do man in accordance with who you are, this comes with it's own rewards and yes it also comes with some crappy sacrifices at times too.

PS. It occurred to me that this post might have been a bit misleading. I'm not struggling financially...just get short of cash at times like many of us. My intent for now, was to try and live off just my retirement 'income'. Other investments that I may have are not easily liquidable.
