Why should you be trying to learn more about AI?

I think people are missing out the most important thing that humans will learn in the process of dealing with this new ERA... the problem will not be the AI being able to produce things for you... that is evolving at a speed that humans will not be able to even catch up...

The problem is...

Humans need to learn how to Speak with AI

Or rather, learn how to effectively command AI tools in order for them to "short cut" as much as possible to the objectives desired.

If you think AI is complicated and can't offer any "learning experience" to you, even if it can't possible generate anything you need, you are wrong!

And I will even exacerbate this...

YOU ARE SO VERY WRONG!

The sooner you adapt to this new era, the more enabled you will feel on the next coming years. And that's me not even Hyping this. That's just my dumb idiotic realization by validating it myself over the last year with a couple experiences with AI tools.

Still haven't convince you? OK, let's make it easy...

I have used Grok to quickly compile a comparison of tools available out there and to report some bla bla bla things that were important to me, and because I wanted to record them else where for later comparisons, I have decided to use Hive for that. So, the last bit of this post is 100% AI generated... but is a compilation of information that I think it might be useful (NOTE: there might be errors or incoherencies, so always validate).

My replit experiments

The above are examples just to show you that you don't have to commit... you just have to try it!

From the table below 👇 pick ONE from the top two (they are both free)

Login in that app, and do something with it... like... "build me a shoot up game" or "build me puzzle game", whatever you fancy, don't worry about the results and if it really works or not.

Then paste a print screen in this post about what you created, and talk about that experience in a couple words/sentences.

And then I will CURATE those replies...

👇 FROM HERE ON IS AI GENERATED 👇

Here's an updated comparison table including Replit (Starter free tier) alongside the main alternatives I mentioned earlier.

I focused on the most relevant products for users looking for free AI tokens/credits and similar experiences (browser IDEs, AI agents, or coding assistants).

Quick Key Takeaways from the Table

  • Bolt.new is currently the closest direct competitor to Replit for the "prompt → full working app in browser" experience, with a very generous token-based free tier.
  • Replit stands out for its broad language support (50+ languages) and built-in everything (database, deployments, etc.), but its free tier is more restrictive on compute and daily AI usage compared to Bolt.new’s token allowance.
  • Lovable is great if you want a slightly more guided/no-code-leaning flow.
  • Cursor wins for serious developers who want maximum AI power inside a real codebase (but you lose the all-in-one browser + hosting convenience).
  • v0 is excellent as a complementary tool for frontend work rather than a full Replit replacement.
  • Free tiers across the board are usage-limited (daily/ monthly caps) — they’re designed for experimentation and small projects, not heavy production use.

Notes

  • All numbers are based on the latest available information as of mid-2026 and can change. Always double-check the official pricing pages.
  • Many tools (Bolt, Cursor, Codeium, etc.) let you bring your own API keys for effectively unlimited usage if you have free credits from OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, etc.
  • Replit and Bolt.new are the strongest “all-in-one” browser experiences. Cursor is the strongest pure AI coding experience.

I don't know what I did, I just subscribed and gave the AI this prompt:

I need to create a simple game where you insert balls into a hoop, with varying levels of difficulty. Each time you level up, you earn points that you can use to claim a game token and then exchange it for game accessories like a better hoop, a better ball, or a better player.

I created my own game hehehehe but I don't know how it works, what is this, it seems like magic.

After the first "inception" I advise you to ask the AI "small" modifications if you want to do any... it makes it easier for the model to cope with the changes and because you can roll back if you don't like it, it makes it smarter when developing.

There you go, you have done your first application on AI... try to publish and share the link here. I can do some testing on it and recommend you some more things in order for you to figure out a couple more things.

Easy, right?

No-brainer for people to try?

I thought it was incredible. I don't know if it saved because the power went out while I was testing it. I'll try again in a bit. Thanks for sharing this experience.

Yes its all saved anything you do, because its hosted on the cloud... so, you will be able to continue it.

Excelente gracias 👌

If you go to "Tools" and click publish, it should give you a public link... share it here so people can try. You can then collect feedback and do modifications (there is a maximum per day/month) but then you can wait for that period to end, and try again once it regenerates.

WELL DONE!

If you can share this, I would also appreciate it. The more people try these things, the better. You can use your own referrals if you want.

Está bien 😊 apenas pueda lo hago

Greetings! This is my entry for your challenge. It was a pleasure to participate in this experience, which has helped me understand the benefits of using technology in education. Thank you.

Learning and trying to do something

It's Friday here! So my motivation is about to go nuts...

I designed my own game using AI tools and it was a great experience

https://peakd.com/hive-139531/@angeluxx/my-first-experiment-on-bolt

Great job. I will give it a try later today. But I think you got the experience... the things you can create right? :D

Amazing, and to think we didn't know about this. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I knew you would love it... some people will be blown away with tools like this.

Anyhow, enjoy it, learn from it. This space is constantly evolving!

It looks so beautiful on you, you're a true professional makeup artist 😍

I'm actually doing it: I've started using Replit to make a simple vocab learning app... and now I'm hoked. My app works great but needs to be better! I've used up all the credits for today, but I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time before I pay for the core version.

Share it here once you have it the way you want it. I will reward people for as long as I see fit.

Soooo... First of all, a HUGE THANK YOU for awakening my enthusiasm for something I never would have imagined! As you probably guessed, I ran out of my monthly allowance on Replit, and instead of waiting till September, I tried the same thing on Bolt. Not sure why, but I kinda prefer Bolt. Though that may be just because I had more practice the second time round, and so I used my credits more efficiently. I haven't compared all its features.

Anyway, the first version of my vocab trainer is done, so I published it here. But now I want to take this further... much further. I'm just full of great ideas, and I could see me spending a lot of time on this. And of course a bit of money, and I believe $20 a month is well invested.

But now I'm not sure which one! Even Replit is an option, but maybe you can recommend one of the others? Like I said, I don't care about seeing the code, since I don't understand it anyway, but explaining to the AI what is it that I want, like in Replit or Bolt, is perfect for me.

If I had to explain in a nutshell, my list goes from (top) the easiest to start with, to the (bottom) more complex ones where people have more control and become more "specific" in certain areas (also more powerful), where people will have to start understanding a bit more of code or other integrations/tools/hosting of code, etc.

This was sort of why I gave more publicity to the top ones.

At this point it's not a question whether I am going to keep going any more. I'm just deciding which of the two that I tried I should pay the pro version for.

Within my ability to check on everyone I am following, please do keep sharing the experience and feedback. I can always use it to tune how I approach people.

So appreciate the motivation so far.

Yes, I will publish it and share it once it's up to my expectations. Then you can experience it in action (and learn some German words on the way) For now, here's a screenshot:

image.png

It's quite simple for people to start with the first two. And you can even make these be interactive with Hive... like for example, you plug something like this to any post on Hive in german, and get words from those posts and such.

Sky is the limit with these tools, because now the barriers of coding are not there anymore.

Sorry, I got lost on this article. I was following you until your example and then missed the point of the conversation. You said, just interact with the AI, don't worry if the result is not useful. But then... I was expecting some kind of point, but the huge table completely lost me. I guess there was a point of using the right tool for the right job. But since there was no job to begin with, then why not just give a list of the tools.
Don't know, I am a bit lost on the options that AI give you, the different apps and the different agents that one can find. But most of it, I am lost that there wasn't a conclusion really about why people should try AI.

Basically, the message is "try it", "experience it" without thinking what you really want to use it for... and this was mostly a call out for people that generally don't want to try it because they think its too difficult.

I guess there was a point of using the right tool for the right job

I was (am) not trying to say for what it should be used or what would be the best applications for one to use these tools. That's a much total different conversation. This post was not intended for that level of complexity.

Don't know, I am a bit lost on the options that AI give you, the different apps and the different agents that one can find. But most of it, I am lost that there wasn't a conclusion really about why people should try AI.

The point is for people to try it, and see what they are missing out by thinking too much about the reasons they can't or should not use it... or on the inverse of that, the inherent reasons or multitude of options one keeps thinking about on why one should use, which takes a bit of time for one to get used, and what I am saying is that is probably faster for one to to just try it and then you will figure it out which ones you should start using and for what.

"Don't worry or spend too much time thinking about it, just try it, because its free" is my main call because this space is constantly changing, and some people will have a hard time getting used to tools or workflows, and if you worry too much about finding out about these things instead of trying, what might happen is that by the time one is "used to it", things change again.

The table dump is basically a dump... I massaged that table from grok questions... and wanted to store it as it was, because these things are changing frequently and sometimes I lose the memory of what they were in the past, either because I forgot where did I got the result or where I saved it. And because I am relatively around here, I thought a good idea to just store it in form of a post, while trying to motivate some people to try them, at the same time.

That was the main call on this post.

I see, good point. I have wrote a lot about AI. My latest post on the upcoming wearable AI tech. I think people will experience AI in different ways.

Its going to be a multitude of events because of that disruption. Wearables is just the initial fud... then there will be, toilet, water taps, doors, lights, even your sofa... they will try to put AI and sensors everywhere in order to keep feeding the information and making you think you need all these things. Which in some sense it could be useful, but because we are humans and will compete, this will turn into a madness of crap of things that we really don't need.

I think that is just a logical route, no mastermind deciding this. Is just the natural flow of things, however. I think that if people are stingy about privacy, they will use off-line LLMs. There are already open source projects for them. Just need to be productized:

We have an internal version of v0.dev that we’ve considered releasing to the community at a lower price point; we just need a robust architecture in place first. However, given what @theycallmedan is doing, we might be able to launch it sooner, since it would be cheaper.

So, we have a tool that can help me connect better to Hive.

Nice, I will keep an eye. Closing this gab will be important to get the newer generation around especially.

I haven't yet tried v0 yet... too many things to explore. But again, wanted to either provoke some people to try at least one, and see what feedback they provide.

Not that this post was intended to grab feedback from others using any of these, but looks like it might have had that trigger :D

Good to know anyway. Thanks for sharing that.

Really interesting post. I'll try some of them. Thanks!

Feedback after you do it please. I am sort of crowdguessing things here, in order to find a tool to grab people on web2 at the same time.

I would, but my boss said: "It is forbidden to use AI in our team". I don't want to call him an idiot, but he's not far away from that. When the entire world moves towards AI, some are fighting the world evolution. I will stop here with "no comments" as I am triggering myself. 😁 Anyhow, I am using AI without him knowing...

You can use it at home... one does not have to use it for work (although yes, for some it might be very life changing). But in some spaces/jobs I completely understand why people are risk averse to AI.

Eventually what will happen is that people get completely behind and then get absorbed by new companies or jobs.

I'm curious to see what can come out of this, as soon as I have a chance I review it and try the options you give us, I saw @angeluxx's Post and I already have an idea. Let's see if it works

😜 Don't think too hard... just for fun, and learning, while its free.

Jjeee That's right, thank you, I'll try it.

I recently used Gemini to build a AI Virtual walking piano. Great fun, even though I can only play chopsticks! 🤣
Oddly my conversation with Gemini started with looking for prank ideas and it suggested interactive media.
My post about it was rubbish, but coding it was great fun.

Creativity will go nuts in the following years. I have got sidetracked quite a couple of times too.

I'm learning GrokImagine mostly for visuals :) And Suno for music and sounds I sometimes use in my visuals.
Also, Grok helped me to solve some code on my sites. But as I said, I'm slowly learning; I'm not obsessed with this. I use it as a tool when I have a need :)

Yep, that's a healthy way of starting learning these things. That's exactly the sort of motivation I am trying to provoke on people. Baby steps... Especially because soon when this is "The only choice" scammers will come with lots of stupid ideas.

Update: @forkyishere, I paid out 43.110 HIVE and 0.000 HBD to reward 3 comments in this discussion thread.

More people should give AI coding a try, once you learn the ropes and understand what's happening in a broader sense it's relatively safe.

yeap, its something that will not get away anymore... and might start being something like "driving"... as if you don't know how to drive, you can't go places... very easily.

Let's see if I can do some useful work here.
