Plaza Vicente Lopez y Planes is a public space, a park in Recoleta.
The square pays tribute to the author of the Argentine national anthem: Vicente Lopez y Planes. It is surrounded by tall and very flowering spring trees that meet the requirements of urban design and landscape of Carlos Theis, who, despite being born in France, he became virtually indistinguishable Argentine and preferred that streets, squares and local parks had a local flora, and did not import plants from other countries.

The park is in a very dignified state, it is always clean, there is no rush and no traffic. You can relax on a bench, which is huge, have lunch or simply enjoy the view of the city.
Tourists describe this place as "a large central park with a huge number of benches and an ideal place for an improvised picnic." Here it is really possible to arrange a barbecue, using one of the specially designated areas for this.
Plus the square is that there are no large avenues nearby that would cross it, because the flow of people here is not very big. The park is green, there are a lot of trees that, covering the part of the sky and the blinding sun, help to escape here from the heat.
The park forbids the dogs to go, so you can sit on the grass quietly, enjoy good weather and mood.
There is an equipped small playground for children - with swings, slides and a sandbox.!
