🎬 WORK IN PROGRES / HELP! / PART II

in #video8 years ago (edited)

Heey fellow steemians! I'm coming to an end of working on my music video, so I need your advice! HELP :)
If you haven't followed up PART I of my project, HERE IT IS

So, I've been spending time with this creature for days now, it's a slow process but really overwhelming.
And I think I'm close to ending, but I have a problem of thinking that the second part of the video is a bit repetitive, and I'm afraid that because of that the ending is not powerful enough.
But then again, I'm too close to the material, and I'm watching it for weeks, so I'm not sure of anything anymore :)

Every comment, critic, any form of advice or opinion would be more than helpful!
LOVE YA

PS
It's still raw material!

I can see why you'd feel it can be repetitive, especially when you're watching it a few times and attempting to find ways to improve it.

I think it's fine, though. I quite liked that ending, as well.

@namiks
thank you!
I'm insecure because I tried to accomplish a feeling of sadness, because turtle is trying to connect with people, but they don't understand or they are afraid or they think of it as an object, and he is desperately searching for a friend, and in the end he finds it, but I'm afraid that you lose that feeling at 2/3 of the video

Depending on how you perceive it overall, I can see why some might think it loses that feeling towards the end.

I saw it, towards the end, as it being further misunderstood and you're displaying the ways in which people fail to connect with it as a living creature. As if it's slowly losing hope and interest in those that come to see it because each visitor is the same, until the end.

@namiks
If you felt that way I'm a bit relieved, I felt like I was lost.
I will sleep better tonight :)
thank you!

I think it definitely works.

How I see it, is that the turtle is looking for air all the time, spending much time close to the bubbles. It is looking for a way out, for freedom. Can hardly breath. It also tries to connect to the world at the other side, staying close to the glass.

Some kids make fun of it but, later on, they seem to be more interested, ending with a girl who almost seems to cuddle him. Very sweet!

By the way, what's with the boys? Did you specifically pick girls or where there no boys watching? Just curious :>)

P.S. I would love to know the (English) lyrics to this song)
