On 12 January 2018, Coinhako, a popular Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange in Singapore and Malaysia, started to suspend Ringgit Malaysia (MYR) deposits 'until further notice' :

Just one month ago, another popular BTC exchange in Malaysia, https://www.luno.com/en/my also suspends its MYR deposits, citing issues with Malaysian bank, Maybank.
So, that leaves crypto-loving Malaysians wondering where else can we buy BTC.
