I suspect you will have this in your possession soon I know nothing about Violins but from reading your post I get the feeling this is the one for you
I to would not cut out the Luthier even to save money it just would not feel right to me

Reading back... I was pretty gushy about the violin... and one week later... I STILL AM! I think it is really the one for me!
