Day1: Tips on Exploring Dubai and Abu Dhabi

in #visiting7 years ago (edited)

If you are planning a holiday, then Dubai can be a great option to consider because you get to experience almost everything over here. But when it comes to knowing what and how to explore the city, sometimes you have to depend upon the travel agents and guides who might not cover all the places or waste most of your time in traveling. So here I describe what you can do to utilize your time the best way and covering each and everything of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

So we landed in Abu Dhabi and the airport is quite far away from the city, so from there we took the black Mercedes airport cab, this is the most reliable and economic cab as they go by meter and you pay what the reading says apart from other BMWs and other cabs which are way too expensive. We reached to our hotel in the middle of the city after 45 minutes drive costing us 80 AED.

So after checking in our hotel and kept our luggage, we went to IKEA which, is on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi and almost takes half an hour to reach there.

Now the IKEA is so much big that it almost takes your whole day to explore it. Though it is worth exploring only if you are planning a long trip then only it is worthy enough otherwise you can keep a short visit for it. It has got the play area for kids so that dropping them here you can explore the place easily.

If you are short of time then you can club your visit to IKEA with YAS mall which is adjoining IKEA only, even this mall is so big that it takes a whole day to cover an entire mall, but you can some good time in evening as it has got a great outdoor seating with an amazing view with tons of food options.

With this, our first day got over and we came back to our hotel to have some rest to get ourselves geared up for another exciting day.
