VLOG #8 — Hive

I am posting this outside of my 4 per day because I think it's THAT important, and people should be aware of the effects this is having on the hopeful newcomers that may be leaving disappointed and empty handed.

This is what I have said previously, but like I said I feel like needs to be addressed which is why I also made a video about it..

It is important to support musicians and artists!

As a musician myself I know that just trying to even get your music heard is hard.. not to mention earning anything from it!

But with Steemit it is easy for ANY musician or artist to post their work and get paid the same day! That has never been possible before Steemit..

Until now.. Steemit has created a new digital world AND digital economy that gives anyone the ability to post and earn :D

Is there enough support right now for this type of content?

I have not been seeing a lot of music or art "trending" that much, and that concerns me.. because a lot of these artists/musicians are going to spend all of their time on the social network that they can have the best chance of getting their content out there.. and obviously start earning from it!

Imagine if we had more of them on here..

Honestly I spend all of my time on Steemit these days, but it doesn't seem like I am coming across much of a variety of content. Yes there is a lot of users that post informational stuff about Steemit, and that's great, but imagine if we had more of a variety like music and art posts as well.. This would inspire people to post even more great content on Steemit!

Will this cause a spam problem?

I don't think so..There will always be spam issues on any social media site, and the great thing about Steemit is that the community can easily prevent those type of posts from littering the tags by flagging them.

So my main point is that if we are upvoting and allowing people to earn from Steemit for great ideas and cool stories.. Then we should be open to sending that support to the incoming artists/musicians to motivate them to bring their fans and more of their content to Steemit!
