Hi all, my name is Michael and I just joined Steemit today. I do a bit of blogging, vlogging and teaching.
I teach ICT, computer science, business studies and economics.
I'm due to retire but find that I really don't want to quit. So it looks like I'll be working for the foreseeable future.
Now that I have the choice. I want to work on something useful long term for the whole of humanity and not just the lucky few based on where you are born.
I have the time and the resources to make a significant contribution to the development, adoption and marketing of the Steemit platform and will get on with the task immediately.
I just had to say hi to the Steemit community quickly last night before I fell asleep and I have updated this post today to explain who I am and what I plan to do.
See you all tomorrow. Bye for now. (Update Hello world! ) and thanks for the warm welcome. #introduceyourself
And that is great news to hear from someone new to the platform.
Welcome to Steemit Michael! Looking forward to seeing you utilize your skill set in teaching ICT, computer science, business studies, and economics.
I'm working on it already and thanks for the warm welcome. Steemit has got me bursting with exciting ideas. Watch this space.
Love that enthusiasm!
Welcome to Steemit @molometer :)

Here are some helpful tips to get you started:
@reggaemuffin, the creator of this bot is a witness. See what a witness is and consider voting for the ones you feel are good for steem.
Your highly welcome to this great community where lovers of knowledge gather to brain storm and have fun. Just take your time and make good friends, work hard and enjoy yourself. And do have a sound sleep.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I think I'm going to like Steemit. Goodnight.
Your welcome bro, yes you will have fun here. Thanks for the vote, i appriciate. Goodnight too
Welcome to Steem @molometer I have sent you a tip
Thanks for the tip bottymcbotface much appreciated. I'll check out your advice listed above. Thank you.
I am proud to be your first follower on Steemit.
Teach me something.
Thanks for the follow pixzelplethora. I hope I can live up to your rightly exacting standards. I totally agree with your position re followers etc.
I have updated this, my first post on Steemit to clarify my position, who I am and what I do. So hopefully we can grow this commuinty and platform together and learn from each other as we go.
I have read the 44-page white paper and it was that that gave me the confidence to get involved with the Steemit community.
In viewing just a few posts here I can see already that there are a few spammers here and some people trying to game the system already. Fortunately they are quite easy to spot and hopefully get rid off.
Looking forward to reading your posts.
Welcome! I read your response to old-guy (stinky), who'd commented on one of my articles..It's quite a mix here but tons of varied topics to explore so have fun!!
Oh no, I may be smelly but I'm not stinky LOL!!!
Okay, how about pungent? I do remember my dad and his old spice, I think it had a round wooded cap, but I believe this is supposed to be a welcome post, this new guy will think there are a bunch of nuts around here!
Oh this new guy already knows we are all nuts lol! I dragged @molometer kicking and screaming from YouTube LOL
Hey, you guys sound reasonably funny, @teamaustralia has a funny gig going on called @steemwars. Some funny creative writing. Well to say that Americans have completely lost their sense of humour is an understatement... I'll put a link for you to look at. It's all just fun, but they're very funny and having fun... I was laughing so hard I asked to be adopted. Depends too on how easily offended you get laughing at ourselves (political incorrectness)..

The more I'm digging around the more interesting things and people I am finding. It's fascinating. I think I remember the post you mentioned with old 'stinky' lol
Just searched for my username and this result produced @pixzelplethora41 stock image instead of my profile photo? #molometer @molometer both should return my image? Any suggestions?
You Sir will do fine here. There are quite a few people here from Tsu. Some you may remember and reconnect with.
Glad you read the white paper. That will give you a bit of a heads up over most newbies! Feel free to ask me any questions as they arise. I resteemed.
Thanks Paul for the support much appreciated. I'll look through who you are following to see who I remember.
I resteemed your post. My first resteem lol and I shot it out to twitter so you may get a little boost.
This is so cool. Thanks for the heads up.
Welcome to Steemit, @molometer!
Hope you enjoy being here!

bot.I must say the bots are very polite and even tell you they are bots...fascinating.
Maybe I need to reread that white paper a third time? lol
The bots are quite interesting. They are often looked down upon. But, they always represent someone's Steemit efforts and their free will right to vote (or not) as they please.
Nice to have you aboard! I'm finding as much as I was intending to retire my geek side and just play at writing and art, Steemit is pulling it all to the surface.
Have fun Enjoy!
I must say after 30+ years of teaching computer science. I'm still super excited by the whole thing.
As a discipline. It's in its infancy. We have seen nothing yet.
We are still living in the steam age of these technologies.
I do intend to retire at some point but I'm having far too much fun on the digital frontier. :)
I understand that!
