Maybe calling home everyday doesn't help @hanggggbeeee. It sounds like you've always got half a thought at home like you haven't fully left.
Sometimes I think being able to be in contact with home so easily makes travelling less fun than it used to be, or maybe I'm just old! 😂
I just remember, when I was trying, before the days of the internet it was soooooo exciting arriving at a new place and picking up letters from home at the local post office. 😊
Haha. I am still childish so I cannot bear if I totally disconnect with home.
You make me think about that time. But I wonder more about how they could deal with every problem of languages, map,... without google translation and gg map. Haha. It must be really exciting when exploring the world by their own self, not depend on any kind of technology.
That's an interesting point @hangggggbeeee. When I backpacked around the world there was no technology at all. No smart phones and not internet.
We always seemed to manage without translation though. Hand gesticulations and maybe drawing or pointing at paper maps. I don't remember it was ever an issue.
We also relied on books such as the Lonely Plant and Rough Guides but most of all we share information with other backpackers and learned that way.
Wishing you a fun week wherever you are! 😊
