Will Voice (EOS) destroy Steem in 2020?

The new platform of Steem creator @dan Larimer will launch February 14th, as stated in an E-Mail from Block.one, the company issuing EOS.

As far as I follow the project, voice.com should scale as fast as Steem but without uneven Token distribution at the beginning. Dan has not given many interviews lately and I was actually quite disappointed by the performance this year. NO viable product DESPITE 2 Billion Market Value of EOS, meanwhile the Steem community innovated DESPITE the low market prices in 2019!

IF voice can't show performance FROM DAY 1, offering services like @threespeak or @vimm, it will probably fade away in oblivion. So far I haven't heard ANY political commentator with big audiences talking about Voice yet, so i don't think this network is much anticipated anyway but from the EOS community itself.

Competition is never a bad thing, so let see how this projects rolls out. I will be the last person to flag @dan, if he starts posting again on Steem in 2021!

Cheers
~Felix

Voice is, as far as I know, based on KYC, so at least for me a no-go.
One should not underestimate the marketing power of EOS which is behind Voice. They have tons of money to buy fake-posts, fake-clicks, fake traffic to create a momentum from day 1 onwards. Something Steem can only dream of.

but i heard they somehow reinvented KYC (so no identity card but just a picture game). But we have to see it in action.

In the end it will be relevant how many digital influencers (livestyle, politics, knowledge) will go there on a daily basis. @dlive manage to make pewdiepie join (world biggest youtuber; probably money involved).

Letsee how it goes. Crypto markets are very harsh with bad products #nobailout

Es wird Zeit das es für STEEM Konkurrenz gibt... belebt hoffentlich den Markt!

I have some Eos:)), but i am a steem-believer:)
and if its just for fairytales:)

Hey @felix.herrmann, saw the news and got the mail and like to say

We will see....

until than enjoy a !BEER and the weekend

Voice isnt the same as steem. Voice isnt going to work because its nothing new just facebook that cost money and is harder to use. 99 percent of people dont care about fb taking there data. I hope voice is a huge success but i cant see it taking off once the advertising money is gone

To the question in your title, my Magic 8-Ball says:

As I see it, yes
