Dear Steemians,
News are already circulating from hours: VOICE is a new social network project created by Dan Larimer on EOS!
Here on the STEEM blockchain I’v read already various posts about VOICE… there is not much to say really, let’s see what’ll happen once is been launched.
Of course I wanted to sign up, but I immediately identified the first big obstacle!!!

Not really! I am Steemitri, I am a mannequin, I don’t speak, I don’t have a voice, but I have a big plastic heart, I’ve got feelings, and I am a plastic being!
The guys from EOS want to keep out bots and trolls, but thy don't give access to mannequins!!!
I will try to sign up for the beta access!
I haven’t got any official ID, because the Swiss government doesn’t recognize me as a living being!
I’ve got anyway my STEEM blockchain ID Card whom I will use to confirm my identity!
There is one sure thing:
Steemitri will be able to exist only on the STEEM Blockchain!
- And you, dearest friends, will you try this new platform?
- Are you willing to leave your identity to be able to use VOICE or would you prefer to stay anonymous?

I signed up last night. I will be happy to see what a platform free of bots will be like. It's a shame that cutting out bots also cuts out mannequins, but that's the price of glory, I suppose.
But as a thought, couldn't you register yourself as a corporation? I've heard that corporations are people too. Rules are meant to be bent :-)
And I don't see how the Swiss government could complain about you becoming a corporation. They know all too well that corporations have no heart.
I don't like bots & trolls, so I have to accept Voice's decision... so yes, that's the price :-(

I am practical and I choose my battles wisely (I hope).
If I want to travel to foreign countries under the current state of the planet, I need a passport in order to enter and leave through border crossings. To get a passport, I have to submit to some pretty serious kyc. Do I trust governments to keep that kyc identity info safe and confidential? Up to a point.
I guess I have the option to go by foot to remote unregulated places to enter and leave a particular country, but that is not practical and would seriously restrict my opportunities and range for general travel purposes.
With social media, I have a choice of which ones to use and for which purposes. And how and how often. I am against almost everything Facebook does and stands for. But I have an account which I will use on very infrequent occasions for specific purposes, and then not use it again for months and years.

It's really a necessary 'evil' to help protect users from those wanting to do evil...

I hear ya'....The evil of which I speak is those who robbed the naive of millions via bogus apps...Of course, this may have been before your time on the platform...Untraceable 'nicknames' cost thousands of unsuspecting users $millions. Besides that, the IRS wants in on the rewards, so it's not Dan really...it's more like cya...all bases...

think I’ll pass on Voice.
I have some doubts about Voice, and I don't know if I'm going to join.
I will wait the official launch and decide ;-)

I'll try Voice asap for sure :D In effetti, un po' mi "inquieta" usare la mia "vera identità", ma aspetto Voice da un po', quindi lo farò ^_^

Seems like B1 is also paying for resources on behalf of the users, sounds centralized to me.
I'm a EOS holder too and I was eager to try it out but at this point, I think I'll pass.

I think I will apply for the beta and test the whole stuff... I tried other decentralized social networks (Akasha, ONO, trybe, SOLA, etc.), but at the end STEEM convinces me more and more.
it's not sounds, IT IS most centralized thing I've seen so far. And yes, to bypass, prepare Ur docs

Mmmmhh, yes and no... here in STEEM and on other decentralized projects you can stay anonymous if you want.
That's true, i am just saying generally in aspect of life. We may be anonymous but at the same time somewhere and in some situations we are not.

Awe! too bad they cut you out @steemitri . I have not tried out that site yet or anything at all on EOS , this is the first time I am hearing about it nice to see there is no bots!! . Appics @appics will be using EOS as well and will be launching very soon they just did a post about it, so I guess I will check out VOICE .
