Ingredients

🌾 1/2 cup Raw Medium Cassava Flour, Farinha de Mandioca Crua e média
💧 500 ml Water
🧈 1 tablespoon Margarine or Butter

Instructions

  • Place 1/2 cup of raw medium cassava flour into a small saucepan.
  • Pour 500 ml of water into the saucepan with the cassava flour.
  • Stir the flour and water together thoroughly with a fork before applying any heat.

2- Season the Mixture:

  • Add a pinch of salt to the mixture.
  • Mix it in well to ensure even distribution.

3- Cook the Mixture:

  • Set the saucepan over a stove on medium to low heat.
  • Stir the mixture continuously as it heats.
  • Watch for it to thicken and change color, indicating it's cooking through.

4- Finish Cooking:

  • Continue stirring for 3 to 5 minutes until no white flecks remain.
  • Ensure the mixture has turned consistently translucent.

5- Add Fat for Flavor:

  • Once cooked, add 1 tablespoon of margarine or butter.
  • Stir vigorously to melt and blend the margarine or butter.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.
