This guide was a solid refresher on interface design principles: https://clay.global/blog/web-design-guide/what-is-flat-design. Even though flat design has been around for a while, this article explains why it works so well when done right. I appreciated the points about usability and how flat UI can either help or hurt depending on context. Definitely useful if you’re designing for different user levels or platforms.
