We are blessed with gorgeous nature in Bulgaria. Roaming around the Bulgarian Mountains - Pirin Mountains

in #walkwithme6 years ago

Since Pirin is not so closely located to Sofia as Rila Mountains, I’ve been there way fewer times. Rila is like home, and in Pirin I feel more like a guest. I hope that this will change, and I’ll get to know this spectacular mountain range and start to feel there as being at home too :)

Pirin National Park is one of the three national parks in Bulgaria and part of the UNESCO Heritage List since 1983. Why?

Because of its exceptional beauty!

Limestone mountains, a lot of glacier lakes, gorgeous circuses, coniferous forests, waterfalls, rich flora and fauna, lots of endemic plants. It is also the home of the oldest bulgarian tree(1300 years old).

It is the second highest mountain range in Bulgaria with its Vihren peak(2914m).
I captured these shots while taking a quick hike from Vihren Hut to this lake and around it.

There are 17 lakes in this valley (Banderitsa) and this is the largest and the deepest one(12,2m).

YES! We're blessed by Nature's power.
Sadly some corporate guys try to compromise those beauties by selling our treasures and land... Despite this they're many protectors out there, who will never give up so easily... Consider me one of them ;)

Супер снимки! Рестиймвам! ;)

Благодаря!

Looks fantastic, and a great day for it too.

Thank you very much :)

You're not going to stop are you! :) At this rate I'm going to have to book some flights and get my butt to Bulgaria! It looks spectacular. My Bulgarian language skills are a little rusty though, [nonexistent] so was wondering how widespread is the english language used? ...Or I could always communicate in emojis! :)

Thanks for the pics Daniela, so nice. Hope you have a great night...Or day. Whichever it is.

Haha, @galenkp, I have a lot more to show, so may be over time I will gather a fan club of Bulgaria full with people from all around the world here on Steemit, and then someday we can climb some bulgarian peak all together and we can fly a Steemit flag at the top :) (that’s a joke, but who knows). Now seriously you can survive perfectly fine in Bulgaria with english and emojis :D I’m happy that you liked it! I always enjoy reading your comments. Thank you :)
