RE: Dream scripts

in #wat4 months ago

I do wish for dreams like that. I agree that it sounds like a movie script almost. YOu should flush it out some more and it could at least make for a good Sci-Fi book.

All I have are shit dreams or nightmares. Stuff I would rather forget for the most part.

I'm glad I've somehow found a way to avoid nightmares. I think it stems from a period in my life where I forced myself to become lucid, sadly it doesn't work as well anymore as I grew older but it helped me for a while with being able to control some things better, one of them being to "feel" when a dream is turning bad and to trigger myself to wake up. It sucks if that some times happens in the middle of the night and u don't wanna go back to sleep instantly as there's a high chance you get sent back right where you left off but most of the time it's at the end of your sleep anyway.

Dunno if you've ever tried that but there's some tricks to experience lucid dreaming even without the assistance of drugs. Would recommend to try at least as I dont think there's any downsides to it.

I am open to recommendations.

The thing that worked for me as a trigger is to make a habit of doing one of two things, either a, if you wear a watch, make a habit of looking at it often during the day, then you will eventually do it in your dreams and you'll notice the numbers are all off/weird and this may trigger you to realize that you're dreaming and become "aware" which gives you control of your decisions. The other which worked for me as I didn't wear a watch when i used to do this, is to just make it a habit to look at your hand often, then in your dream state your hand's gonna look all weird cause for some reasons dreams have a hard time making them realistic (maybe the same reason AI art sucks at it, dunno).

Lucid dreams are easiest to get into if you take naps, especially if you haven't had your first one happen yet.

I'd recommend just searching for some starter youtube vids as well that can teach you other ways if the above ones don't work, it's quite an experience. I found one just now that seems okay:

Apppreciate it. Thanks.
