The auto vs quartz debate is old. Mechanical watches have soul but cost more and need upkeep. Quartz is accurate and low maintenance. Either way, prices change. I keep an eye on Watch Prices because microbrands raise or drop prices all the time. I ended up with a quartz daily beater and one automatic for weekends. No regrets. Just don't overpay. Watch the market and buy smart. Both are fine if the price is right.
