Buying time for certain equities

in #water6 years ago

It's been many, many months Steemit Nation and hope everyone is well. Life, work, kids is demanding for all of us. I can't watch hourly as opposed to nightly but finally made a move on AQUA as planned months prior. Purchased for all accounts small allotment of shares (2nd purchase) at 16.03 in limit order placed late Thursday/Friday. This international, industrial water holding actually hit low $15.00's on Friday before finishing in mid $15.00's. I had already decided to purchase regardless of exchanges around $16.00 an even 20% off last purchase. Saw market/limit prices (while most were asleep) already slightly above $16.00 and since AQUA closed at that number on Thursday (possible L.O.R. - which it wasn't obviously) I decided on $16.03. Trust me if I was buy pc all day Friday I damn sure would've purchased closer to the low $15.00's. However, life is different now.

Stick with your targets on companies/equities you plan to hold long term. Of course you must follow your positions until you make your principal plus some profits and retire (sleep me shares - LOTN rule) shares for your actual fund. Bad news about the company see PZZA recently or BP oil spill for example, C.F.O. or maybe C.E.O. resigning etc., new competition or competition with newer products/equipment, and more will drive your equity's share price down. In some cases you must get out but rarely in my many years of experience. Remain steadfast.

So things on target with what I've expected. Gold, silver (brief high $13.00's) about the same, some headwinds with certain industries (unexpected? but needed) regarding foreign trade, rising federal funds rate, midterm elections, don't seem to worry me. I speak for myself of course. Now what could (as I've mentioned) occur is a .50 December rate hike for example. I think/hope those assholes have learned since 90's that you can't move too fast too quickly. They damn sure had no problem lowering and keeping fed fund rate low for 7 years for example. Probably not. Also got c.d. for kid at 2.25% for 2 years. However, I only selected this one because you can add money and request a full 1% increase during that 2 year period. So bonds, c.d.s, or fixed interest making income still isn't that attractive at least to me.
Anyway I could go on. However, this is where I stand as of October 14th. Of course any huge news causing exchanges to free fall (which October -March of 2001 - 02 or 08 - 09 could occur and is possible. Also remember midterm elections and the fact some socialists could when some seats against incumbent republicans. Other than that I'll watch AQUA for another low purchase (like maybe $12's), possibly BABA (3rd purchase! but very far off target), or buy one of a few for first purchase that I've followed during this time.

Until then especially with elections, you will probably see perhaps another week of newer lows perhaps nearing or breaking through March lows. Who knows, and I assure you the markets will factor results of midterm elections before it occurs - unless this is like time periods mentioned above. I'll watch all of the above and may see you sooner rather than later.
Have a good week and remain steadfast. God bless yall
