I think that's the first stage. People, as you say, take the usage for granted, then after twelve months, the sense of ownership starts to take hold of them: "All the work I've put in! At the same time, never once did they consider making a donation or even tipping a Dev. I think the owners of Reddit have a point. People have been making money off the back of their API for years, and Elon Musk's monitorization of Twitter may prove to be a wise move in the long run.
It's very expensive to run a Social Media platform for free that has millions of users; sadly, relying on people's goodwill to support you with fiat will leave most hosters disappointed. 😞

I feel soooo uncomfortable with 😔 wished I wouldnt have to go there
I am Ok with dentists but hate when there are so many turn there. Once there was a live turn and waited 4 hours. Spent half of my day((
