It is! I also think it's lovely the rest of the year, but I get why you prefer the spring!
I do think deserts have their own beauty all year, too ... my aunt used to live right at the edge of one of California's great deserts, and I always thought it was lovely to go walking in the morning there.
I absolotely agree, deserts are amazing particularly at dawn and dusk!
I know it will be difficult to get the things you need here, but it is a truly beautiful place.
