That's great.
Even though I started understanding and learning English since I was little.
I can't say I am perfect with my English.

Me too. I started to learn English when I was a kid, mostly watching series in English and listening to music, but since I'm in Hive I have improved my English a lot. Thinking and writing in English is a great practice.

That's a great one.
They teach us ours in school.
And when you are grown, people expect you to be fluent in English.

And I agree with you on the hive aspect.

Here we are also taught in school, but it is a simple English. And they teach you mostly the grammar, but doesn't teach how to actually talk it.

!lol
I get it.
Glad there is positive progress.

If it wasn't for window blinds...
It'd be curtains for all us.

Yeah, thank you 😊

You are welcome

You are doing it great, it isn’t my main language either. Repeating it like on hive is a good lesson

Thank you 😊

!INDEED, thinking and writing in English is a great way to learn it.

Good for you am still working hard to learn

You're doing great 😊

Es cierto que es un buen entrenamiento

So... what do you speak?

My main language is Spanish.

Me too…
English is my 4th language in learning order.
Let’s enjoy learning more.

What other languages do you speak?

I started with German, then Dutch and Limburgs… English followed together with Spanish in 2011 and 2015. I started late with my english… in my 30s.
Still learning Spanish and French. The others are fluent.
I think I moved to many countries haha

What do you speak?

Wow, that's amazing. I only speak Spanish and English.

I was trying to learn Portuguese and Italian but I quit it after some time.

Those are the main languages. So keep at it.

I tried Maltese while I lived there just over a year. It was soooo difficult. Had to give it up haha
Some language are hard.
Have a great day!

Can you give me an advice so I can learn a language easier?

What I do is watch documentaries on anything, series and movies in the language I want to learn. Put on subtitles as long as needed. Music too… to hear it more often even without noticing, your brain picks up words.
Further I immerse myself between the locals so I have to understand and speak it quicker.
In Spain I joined a walking group… art groups, tapas groups etc. in the beginning one struggles but bit by bit you will pick it up. If the locals speak their language to you.

I also write little notes 📝
Like going to a governmental appointment to do paperwork or to a shop to fix things or…. I translated first what I wanted to say or ask at home in several different ways. Then I write it down in the language I was learning and have it in my pocket. I practice it a few times and when I am there… I try speaking it without looking on the note I took. If needed I can take it out.
Sometimes it was enough to help me. Sometimes the conversations needed a translate app. Hahaha
It is basically trying to practice it as much as you can with other people.

I learned english the parrot fashioned way. Didn’t have lessons or grammar. I immersed myself in it fully.

Wow that's awesome
