Behind the Scenes of the First Playable Build
The first public-facing version of the Conspiracy Theory TCG – Alpha Tabletop is officially up and running, and testing has been wildly productive. The goal right now isn’t to reveal every mechanic or hidden synergy—just to make sure the foundation is solid, fun, and expandable. And so far? It’s hitting all the marks.
The newest playtest focused on simulating a real “opening hand,” placing Locations and Personalities, and kicking off your first conflict with the Shadow Agent (the current placeholder Boss used for testing logic). Cards are attaching smoothly, ATK/DEF values are applying correctly, and the stack system is proving to be way more strategic than we expected.
What’s especially exciting is seeing how the three major card lanes—

—all interact to build power combos without giving away the deeper ruleset that’s still under wraps.
The test deck is intentionally small and unbalanced at the moment, and that’s exactly what we want for Alpha. The point right now is to break things, refine interactions, and make sure the game feels good before tightening the screws.
Today’s alpha run included:
First functional 7-card opening hand
Successful attaching of multi-layered cards
Early synergy tests between Vehicles & Weapons
Enemy stability reduction working as intended
UI updates for cleaner turn flow
Balancing notes for ATK/DEF scaling
The most important takeaway? It’s already fun. And that’s before we’ve even rolled out keywords, abilities, status effects, or the full mission system.
Over the next few updates, we’ll be adding:

The deeper clues, hidden meanings, and layered mechanics are still tucked away… for now. But every test brings us one step closer to a fully playable, blockchain-ready version of the Conspiracy Theory TCG.
